About Me

I never know exactly what to put in these things. I love to talk about others (in a good way - I hate gossip) but talking about myself is hard for me. It feels too much like bragging, and where I think people need to feel positive about themselves (and trust me I don't struggle with self worth issues much), I think that it is very possible to think over much about ourselves. So with that being said:

I am the mother of six kids, five girls and one boy. I home school all of my children, although all of my children will be back in school next year. My son was born with a cleft lip/palate and has just been diagnosed with ADHD. The older ones love drama and dance, and all of them are involved in music somehow. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (meaning I am Mormon) and my beliefs in Christ have shaped me, and continue to shape me. I taught piano and voice lessons in my home, and also provided daycare for a couple of children. But things changed for me when on May 7, 2013 I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

It has been a journey of ups and downs, and now I'm on the other side of cancer. I am trying to figure out my life and if there is one thing I have learned, it is to take things one day at a time.

Thank you for any time you spend here and God bless you on your own journey.
